Visit to Dad and Mom’s

Last night, after dinner, we drove up to Dad and Mom’s (10 min.) to set up the tent for Olivia’s graduation party tomorrow night. We had a lovely evening visiting and just hanging out, and I took pictures so you could pretend you were there with us. First, here’s what’s blooming in the gardens this week…
Purple Irises, Clematis, Lupines, Chives, and the lovely variegated Hosta appears again.

They still had to eat dinner after we got there; it was served alfresco on the back porch, complete with a vintage table cloth and wrought iron chairs. The menu? Oh, yes – BBQ chicken, fresh Caesar salad, and Anja’s Awesome Sweet Potatoes.

Here the Boy is showing that even though he has a full tummy from his own dinner, he has room for more. Duck sat down next to him and he promptly snatched a sweet potato right off her plate! She forgave him, though, and shared more with him.

Dessert was fresh cherries – yum! Again, Duck shared with her nephew. Caution – the following pictures may disturb some persons…

She had to take the pits out for him.
He was very grateful for this service.

And now for a parting shot – or two. You have been waiting to catch a sight of Lee’s new do, and you were probably expecting a glamor shot, weren’t you? Well, she told me I could post these pictures of her spitting a cherry stone across the porch at me!

The very depressed group of people (possibly only one of us) who didn’t get to go to Olivia’s party last night eagerly wait for pictures.

Did you really cut it all off, or is it in a ponytail? I must say, it does look cute ๐Ÿ™‚I had a small flock of pig-birds over last weekend – my niece an nephew – the time “flew” by way too fast. I miss them now ๐Ÿ™
