Long before I was putting my inner feelings into poetry, Chris Rice was doing it for me. (Now that I think about it – why did I even try?) I love Chris’ lyrics, especially the ones that seem to mirror my own day dreams. For example, when I was about 9 when I first wondered if there would be new colors in heaven – shades not made from our primary red, blue, and yellow. Then, when I was 14 I heard Chris Rice’s song “Deep Enough to Dream” in which he falls asleep – “Deep enough to dream in brilliant colors I have never seen”. That’s when I knew I liked his lyrics.

Last night Jeremy took me to Chris’ concert in our area. It was wonderful to see him in concert again! We had seen him last the week before our wedding, and some of his love songs have become ‘our songs’. We had better seats this time, thanks to Sarah and Rachel, who saved us our artist’s circle seats next to them in the center of the front row! Thanks, girls! ๐
And thanks to my dear husband, for taking me out! ๐ It was a lovely evening, especially knowing that our boy was being taken such good care of by his aunties. Thanks, Joanna and Elise! ๐
