A Parody

I appreciate all the get well wishes! I am feeling better today. Yesterday I had to run errands all day and I was so exhausted when I got home, I didn’t even eat dinner. It was one of those days – I’m thankful that I haven’t had too many of them lately – where you’re just too sick and tired to be who you’re supposed to be – wife, mother, housekeeper, etc. I am glad today I can stay home and get the rest my body needs to get better.

If you have noticed, I am trying to put a picture on top of our blog. I have been trying to do this for a month. As you can see, I’ve not been successful in getting it to look right. How do I center it? Do I have to format the picture better before I upload it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Lastly, I wanted to share this video with you. It has made me laugh sooo hard every time I have viewed it, and it brightened my day yet again when I dug it up to post it for you. Is this not a hilarious parody – not only on the original song (which I will not reveal, ’cause I think it’s better to view it without knowing at first), but on music videos in general? If you can’t figure out the original song or artist, just ask and I’ll reveal it in a comment. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Trina, my husband and I find this absolutely hilarious! Some friends introduced us to this video a while back and we get a chuckle every time it comes to mind. If you're familiar with what a “315-er” is, you'll know why this makes us laugh even more…

    Arrgh!!!! Trina, you're hurting my head. Also my face is hurting from laughing so hard. I will NEVER think about country music the same way again.

    Btw, my husband liked the youtube video so much he posted it on his MySpace page. I knew he'd need a change of pants after watching it. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Re the new job, we're looking into an apt complex that is 1 mile from the office in Fairport. It will be a drive in order to see 'everyone' (but still better than 20 hours!), but will be much more convenient for us as a one-car family. See you soon!

    Trina,
    Loved the hydrogenated information, something I've been aware of for some time, I like how the book you are reading explains it. And anyway… butter just tastes better!
    The parody is so funny.
    Made me smile on kind of a hard day.
    Love

    Oh I forgot about your header image,

    Go to customize, edit html, scroll down a little to where it says header and replace this code:

    #header-inner {
    background-position: center;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;

    }

    TO THIS:

    #header-inner {
    background-position: center;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    width:710px;
    height:170px;

    }

    Preview to make sure it does the job, if so save template….It should work ๐Ÿ™‚

    katie, I used the header editor – HTML is greek to me. But hubby knows – I would ask him but he really has been putting in long hours on the remodeling next door, and hasn't had time. ๐Ÿ™‚

    natalie – I tried using the resized photo you sent me – thanks! but it's still not working. So, we will keep trying. If the current look is giving anyone the ibbyjibbies, I will take it down. ๐Ÿ™‚

    wlecome, pam! shall we call you aunt pam? ๐Ÿ™‚

    I'm glad you all liked the video. ๐Ÿ˜€

    Trina? How did you put the image there in the first place? Did you use the header element? Or did you put it in the HTML? Cause that will make a difference in how to fix it. I can help you figure it out, I will drop you a U2U with my email address.

    I'm having the same problem with the picture on my blog — though I admit I haven't tried much besides resizing the picture to fix it. I'd love to know if you find a solution.

    I've been up in the lurkers' balcony for awhile — but very much enjoying your blog — your Aunt Marilyn (my sister) passed the URL on to me.
