A Gift for a Little Boy

Here’s something I made for Jesse. He loves crayons – not the coloring part, but the putting in and out of the box part. It’s what keeps him quiet in Church. I figured a crayon roll with individual pockets would provide hours of fun.

I have had that awesome frog fabric for no less than 10 years, saving it for just such a project. There was just enough for the pocket.

The Turquoise corduroy has been in my stash for even longer. I believe in saving cloth, believing the perfect opportunity will come eventually. It always does.

The fun ribbon is actually from my scrapbooking stash. You can find the tutorial for the crayon roll HERE.
They would make great gifts – all you have into them is scraps and minutes of your time – literally. Have fun!

That is cute! It's too late for christmas, but I'm going to save this for birthdays for my little cousins – the best bit is, this can be adapted for pencils and whatever else you want to store.
