Welcoming Autumn

Changing Colour

“Autumn is the best season in which to sniff, and to sniff for pleasure, for this is the season of universal pungency.”
Bertha Damon“Summer’s loss seems little, dear, on days like these.”
Ernes Dowson

“In the village store someone says, ‘I heard the geese go over,’ and there is a moment of silence. Why this is so moving, I do not know. But all of us feel it.”
Gladys Taber

“The earth has rolled around again
And harvest time is here
The glory of the seasons
And the crown of all the years.”
Carolyn Wells

“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking successive autumns.”
George Eliot

These quotes were gathered from Susan Branch’s book,

I am such a fan of Susan Branch! her books are all hand lettered and illustrated with delightful watercolors. Her beautiful artwork, delicious recipes, and creative ideas always inspire me to live life more beautiful! I know I just recommended a cookbook, but this one is more than just a cookbook! It would make a great gift, or a special treat to one’s self to celebrate Autumn!
