The Tree

My theme for our tree this year is ‘Fruits of the Spirit’. We have all shades of round, fruity colored ornaments, as well as those orange slices I dried last month.

I want to add more ‘fruits’ each year. This year I am looking for a ‘Peace’ ornament.

Anja gave me this ornament the year before I was married. It is very special to me.

This was made by a dear friend years ago – I used when decorating my bedroom before I was married. Now it has an honored place on the tree.

Guess who?

What a lovely idea for a tree. I need to get a picture of ours up. If it had a theme it would be family. There are ornaments from Allen's family, his grandmother, my granny, handmade from our first Christmas…It's very collaborative.

Well, the truth is….someone said the picture made me look like a very unflattering animal (I will not name the animal, it is truly embarrassing) and after that I just couldn't stand to look at myself.

I had another picture of Olivia up there, but she wanted this one. What can I say?

We never do anything on this blog without consulting each other. ๐Ÿ™‚ That's one of the reasons it's so fun. Anja and Olivia chose their pictures, and Jeremy, our webmaster, does the magic.

I'm glad to see someone noticed the changes. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have the noise/tune that that little toy in Olivia's picture makes stuck in my head now. A friend of mine has that toy for her son.

I think you should put up a more flattering picture of Olivia on your sidebar.

heh just to clarify, it looks like the "Grinch" has invaded by way of that ornament because of the face you are making plus the color of the ornament…the Christmas tree itself looks great ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah it seems the "Grinch" has invaded your Christmas tree somehow! :p

Was that close-up picture of the "joy" ornament just for me?

And that picture of you in the ball is extremely interesting to say the least…
