Oh, I am so excited about what I have to share with you. I can’t believe I had the time to do this, but I did it ’cause I love you all! My Christmas present to my blog readers…
Today:: Sugar and Spice Gift Wrap, including a bow tutorial.
Saturday:: Another great gift wrap idea (I don’t have a clever name for it yet, and don’t want to give it away!)
This is one of my favorite ways to gift wrap – works for anybody, any holiday, but is especially nice for your mother for Christmas. 🙂
1. Gather your materials –
The paper bags I told you to get last week
Spray-painted pine cones, nuts, and twigs
Rose hips, cranberries, or something else equally cheery
Dried Orange Slices
Ribbon with wired edges
And whatever else strikes your fancy
2. Wrap the gift in the brown paper. The glue gun is your friend here – it’s a rare tape that’s up for the job of securing brown paper. Swath your gift in ribbon, gluing the ends in place.
3. Follow my Bow Tutorial and glue the bow to the gift.
4. Glue your beautiful bow to the gift.
5. Add Glue-Ins – in this case, a single, gold pine cone.
A Pine cone was all the above package needed, but I went all out on this next one. Used a simple raffia bow as the base, and added pine cones, twigs, berries, cinnamon sticks, and orange slices.
Set beneath the tree with care. At this point it is permissible to clap your hands with glee. ☺
It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas – it has been snowing here all day, and it feels soooo cozy and festive to see the snowflakes falling each time I look up from my tasks.
More Gift Wrap Ideas coming Saturday!
If I got those presents, I wouldn't open them for days. They are so pretty. =)
*sigh* I love brown paper wrapping!
Oh Trina… those gifts are just lovely! You have inspired me♥ (which is rather difficult to do this year, due to my weakened state, lol) Love your ideas!!
