We really have to give it up to those squirrels….I mean, you gotta be nuts to go outdoors on a day like this!
So, how cold is it? Hold on, I’ll go check…Uh, it’s very, very cold. Very. Approximately 16 degrees Fahrenheit. But it’s warm inside, thanks to our coal stove! Well, mostly warm. ๐
Add to that, I have a cold myself. Not a symptom that pairs well with cabin fever. At least I recovered from the fever before I came down with this cold! ๐ I am coping with my sore throat and sneezing by ignoring my symptoms and going about my business, hoping a clean house will help me feel better. Now that the kitchen is clean, I’m taking a break to blog.
As always, I am excited about what we’re sharing with you all this week on the blog!
~I’m going to let you know how I’m doing with my goal to read and record good books this year – I’ve read over 6 books so far this year, including a few I really want to recommend.
~On Friday, the girls will host their second Fabulous Fashion Post – they’re going to tell you about one if their favorite accessories. All 4 of us Bauman daughters, plus Mom, were all wearing one of these yesterday at Church. Can you guess what it is?
~Jeremy has prepared a post this week on a subject that got a lot of response from our readers a few weeks ago.
~I’ve chosen the poem for the month (finally!) and also plan to share some great photos from the archives – before we had a blog. ๐
Finally, of course, we welcome our newest readers! We had some self-confessed ‘lurkers’ come out of the woodwork this week. Thank you so much! We really love it when you comment, especially when you use your blogger identity and we can visit your blog and get to know our readers a little bit better!
Welcome to another Natalie ! We like your little profile picture – is that Mrs. Piggywinkle herself?
Kyna is quite the seamstress – I loved browsing her blog with her lovely sewing projects!
We were excited to see CVO (our very own cousin!:)) now has a blog, too!
We have another Sarah – who has helpfully given herself the nick-name “rahrah” so we don’t get confused with all the Sarah’s who visit! ๐
I believe we’ve also had another Katie stop by, and we enjoyed having Abigail VanBuren pop in! ๐
So happy you all have become part of the fun and fellowship here!
BTW, have you noticed our new link in the sidebar? It’s our blog’s official e-mail address! If you would like to contact us personally and privately, that’s the way to do it!
Last Sunday feels like a long time ago…were you all wearing a hat??
I loved the pictures- I had so much fun reading to Jesse when I visited!! ๐ ๐ ๐
I am way behind on posts, so this is probably very belated- but I hope your feeling better, Trina! ๐ And I'm so sorry you were under the weather. So many people are sick! ๐
I'm looking forward to hearing about the books you've been reading. I had good intentions of doing lots of reading this year, but so far you're way ahead of me!
You are quite smart, Natatlie ๐
And no, I was not wearing one sock…they may have been mismatched. But there was most definitely two ๐
Hmm…did you all wear scarves? I was thinking socks was a pretty good guess, but then I realized that you said you all wore "one", so unless wearing one sock is some new fashion I don't know about… ๐
Oh Trina I am sorry you have a cold! I have one as well ๐ We have some tea that is supposed to help with colds and I drank at least 8 cups yesterday…it did not really help my throat, though it did keep me warm when I was wondering around in the snow..Oh and I am guessing you girls all had socks on yesterday :p
Trina,
Get well soon!
Love,
Aunt Beverly
Thanks for the welcome!
Welcome to all our new readers!!!!!
Trina, I am sorry about the cold ๐
That does go with the whole "cabin fever" thing ๐
I shall obligingly come over some time this week and wash your dishes for you ๐
Thanks for the welcome!
As for my nickname, one of my younger siblings "named" me that – they couldn't say Sarah.
Maybe some day I will have a blog to link to – I don't have the time right now to make a blog that would hold up to my standards ๐
-Sigh!-
