I never thought I’d be this excited to have the back set of our vehicle packed side-to-side with carseats. But I am. The kids love it, too. |
Tuesday was my first day mothering 3 kids solo – Jeremy went back to work and we were on our own from 9 to 5. The day went fairly smooth, and we even achieve simultaneous naps for all 4 of us in the afternoon.
I compared this feat to putting a man on the moon.
On Wednesday I got all 4 of us in the car by myself and on time to visit Daddy at work. I called him to let him know our status –
“Houston, we have lift off!”
I blame the space metaphors on the Christian Science Fiction novel “Ice” that I have been reading during rest times and nighttime feedings. Sometimes it does not feel like an exaggeration to say that mothering 3 kids under 4 is as incredible as space travel! And we are loving every minute of it. (The book is excellent, too, if you’re looking for a good read!)
Love it!
Wow! Simultaneous naps???!!! I am in awe, girl. Mothering so many so little is indeed a feat not for the faint of heart. It sounds like you all are doing incredible- the kids look lovely♥
