Opening Shop

Well, it’s finally happened. The Bauman Sisters got an Etsy Shop! This has been a dream of ours for almost a year – ever since we heard of Etsy (rhymes with ‘Betsy’) and realized what a lovely place it would be to market our various creations.

I had great dreams in the spring of selling Emmaline aprons online, until I realized that goal didn’t fit in with the season I am in right now. Yet the dream lived on, and finally, earlier this month, (right before the wedding buzz started) I figured out how to set up our shop. All I had was a few Best Bibs, excess from a day of sewing baby gifts, and I wondered why I had even bothered. But, when I mentioned it to Anja, she was delighted, as she had recently begun wondering about new ways to market her baskets. So, as we have time and opportunity, we have begun adding new items to the shop, mostly her baskets.

This is a new venture for us, and we’re not sure how it’s going to go, but we are excited about the possibilities of being able to sell from home. We just wanted to let our loyal readers in on the secret – and ask that you help us let it out of the bag! Tell your friends – Anja’s baskets are now available online! Do stop by, and have fun browsing other Etsy shops while you’re there. (just follow the link at the begining of this post, or click on our lovley new side bar gadget!) It’s a lovely place for all things handmade and vintage. I have a few other friends on Etsy and I plan to introduce their shops to you in the future.

I wanted to pop back in and say that I blogged about your new adventure.. hope you don’t mind. (I know, a little late to ask, but I could always un-link you, lol) I figured it might be a good time for a good “etsy” post.
