Day 3 of Quilting I experienced a little accident…involving a rotary cutter and…my sewing machine cord. You should have heard the POP! See how the little explosion demolished the blade? What a setback – I was all set to use the last hour of my sewing today to finish the top of my quilt!
All the blocks are complete, I just have to sew them together and the top will be finished. Now I will have to wait for Jeremy to bandage my cord. I dare not plug it back into the wall now.
I LOVE how the top has turned out, and how quick and easy it has been to put together. The first day I got most of the squares done, Day 2 I sewed the white border around the completed ones – then I had to put the project aside for two days, and then today I completed and trimmed them all. I am already planning my next quilt….
Ouch! I’m always scared I’ll do just that. I think I have the same rotary cutter ๐>>Glad that it’s just your blade that was hurt, and I hope the cord is ok.>>The quilt is looking gorgeous! It has come together really well ๐
A few weeks ago, I thought I’d work on some sewing around 4 AM when Sam didn’t want to sleep. Big mistake! I found out that I don’t think clearly when I’ve only had a few hours of sleep, and I ended up making cutting mistakes…one of which resulted in the big hole my favorite tablecloth now has in it.
Ahhh! say no more – I will be grateful it was only my cord!
Love *love* the top of that quilt. Sorry about your accident. I had a rotary cutter accident too, but involved my finger…….
