Good Birthday Morning

Jesse Lincoln *airplane noises*

Today is my eldest son’s 4th birthday. I don’t know who was looking forward to it more – him or I. I love birthdays. Even if it means staying up till midnight after a long day (at the Zoo!) to decorate so he could wake up this…

Found the colorful table cloth at a garage sale last week – have ordained it the Birthday Table Cloth – it’s so happy!

And this….

You ask how I got up at 6:50 when I’d only gone to bed just a few hours before? Well, this, of course:

“Mommy, why did we come downstairs so early, and where is everyone else???”

My adorable, sweet alarm clock. After I nursed Seth, we went downstairs together and spent some time with the Lord – something that I have not been very faithful to do, but really missing it. It’s so hard with lack of sleep to think of rising any earlier than absolutely necessary, but I have realized that I can’t get through a day without my Lord’s perspective on my life. I must renew my mind daily with His word or I’m a mess. Another reward of getting up early was that I was able to tidy my kitchen, make breakfast, and greet my children and husband with a smile when they eventually made it down stairs an hour later. We were able to have a yummy, relaxed breakfast of waffles and scrambled eggs and open a few gifts before seeing Daddy off to work. It was a great start to what promises to be a memorable day…

Victoria – we got the balloons at a party supply store. I couldn't believe how big they were! Jeremy blew them up with the vacuum and he gets the credit for the awesome balloon chandelier. I tried to blow some up for the kids to play with this morning and almost fainted! LOL
