With family and friends we prayed for the Lord’s protection and blessing on her life, and for her to live for Him, to be His princess.

The gown she wore was made by her Great-Great-Grandmother in Holland 80 years ago. My mother’s mother’s mother made it for my grandmother to be christened in. We are grateful for the godly heritage this dress represents – to know that Claire is just one of many generations in my family that have served the Lord.

Her eyes are big and beautiful, and yes the dress is a very special treasure. Our family dress is framed in a shadow box now – too many “wearers” to be used any more. 🙂
I hate to reveal my shallow-ness, but, OH that dress! i literally gasped when i saw it…. the eyelet is exquisite.
