So, here goes the first of a few posts telling you how we enjoyed our Christmas! I have been cleaning house all morning – putting away gifts and doing the chores I neglected yesterday – and now I am taking a break at the computer. I also sorted through all the left-overs cramming the fridge to figure out the best way to eat it all up before it goes bad!
The day before Christmas Eve has been appropriately dubbed Christmas Adam in our family.
We attended Church, enjoying the yearly exchange of yummies from each of the families in our fellowship to each other – I appreciated Mrs. L’s little treats – all thoughtfully sweetened with xylitol for me! I handed out little cellophane packages of biscotti as I did last year. This year’s flavors – Orange dipped in Chocolate, Double Chocolate with almonds, and White Chocolate Macadamia nut with amaretto (my personal favorite).
After Church we headed home for our yummy dinner that was bubbling away in the crockpot. After Jesse had his nap, we went up to Jeremy’s family’s for the rest of the day. Uncle Josh and Autn Bethany were there with the Cousins. The Cousins love Jesse. Jesse, on the other hand, is rather terrified of them. It’s really a shame – Esther wants to love all over him, and he just wails. By the end of their visit, though, she was able to give him a hug without him tearing up!
In the evening, Grandpa and Grandma offered to babysit all the grandchildren so all the siblings as well as a few friends could go to a movie. We kissed the kids and 12 of us piled into 2 cars and headed to an 8:45 showing of National Treasure II. Whoo-hoo! The highly anticipated sequel to one of our favorite films was definitely a hit. It was also fun to practically take over the small theater with our group. ๐

Finally! Proof that my family isn't completely bonkers. I was trying to explain Christmas Adam to my brothers (in-law), and they were giving me such a hard time about it. I'll have to send them over here to prove my sanity.
That's so funny, we call it Christmas Adam, too! ๐
thanks, will – yes, i believe I served you both the orange and the macadamia to you guys.
Did you have that Macadamia biscotti when we were at your house? Maybe not….Anyway whatever flavors we had while at your house were terrific!
That was so much fun!!! I am glad you and Jeremy were able to come and see the movie with us!
I can't wait to see the next installment of pictures!!!
