Well, March is the last month of true winter weather here in upstate New York. The last month to enjoy snow sports, warm bowls of soup, and…scarf wearing!
A few weeks ago a friend of mine gave me a bag of pseudo pashmina shawls. Not having much use for them in their generous shawl state, but being the scarf wearer that I am, I cut them down to size. Each shawl became two scarves – one for me and one to share!
Perhaps you have noticed these long, soft scarves everyone has been wearing this winter. I certainly have, and was greatly desirous to have one of my own. I have had so much fun adding one to almost every outfit as I head out the door. They’re the perfect accessory with my peacoat.
If you would like to add one of these lovely scarves to your wardrobe, all you have to do leave a comment!
Be sure to include:
your name,
a link to your web page or blog if you have one,
and, of course, the color scarf you would choose if you won!
I like the brown one! So sweet of you to do a giveaway with them!
Ooh, how pretty, Trina! I never thought of cutting down shawls to use as scarves…you’re quite creative. ๐>>I LOVE the dark purple one you’re wearing! That would definitely be my choice. ๐>>~Rachel H.
Ah, there’s nothing quite like a giveaway to get us lurkers out of the woodwork! ๐ My blog is over at: http://quietnessandtrust.blogspot.com/>>And…dear me, all three are so pretty, I would love to have one of any color! ๐
Uncle Don is wondering if you happen to have a scarf in the hue of John Deere green? (ok, he didn’t actually use the word “hue”).>As for me, I like all of the scarves shown. And if your Beppe could blog, I am sure she would choose the dark purple scarf.
he, he, he – I love getting all our faithful readers out of the woodwork with a giveaway! ๐>>I would say the brown is a burnt orange in the sunlight. >>I like the fact that these scarves aren’t actually silk, so they can be worn in warm weather without being too hot! the light purple one will be great for spring…>>keep the comments coming!
Loved the fashion tip Liv! That is a really awsome summer look!
I pick burnt orange, please. ๐
The “brown” is showing up orange here. Either way, I pick that one. ๐
You know, you are looking good Trina — You’d never know you just had a baby a short time ago! Woe is me, I hope I bounce back quickly too! O:-)

How beautiful!>>I’m Katie from http://thekingsfiddler.blogspot.com and http://theiddblog.blogspot.com>>I LOVE the brown one.
I love the brown one… ๐
I like the dark purple one.
Brown for me! Though the other two are really pretty, too.
Brown all the way baby!!! Yeah and I have to agree with Anj,,,,Winter is not the end. In the Summer it looks really cute to wear a tank top and a scarf wrapped around you neck ๐
Hey Trina!! I really love the light purple one! Thanks!~Annabeth
Oh I love those scarves !! I cant decided between the dark or light purple !
I read your blog faithfully, but it takes a contest to get a comment out of me! I like the brown one!
I’ll take the brown one please. Random fact winter does not have to be the end of scarf wearing if you don’t want it to.
I like the burnt orange. Reminds me of fall. >>Olivia
Since I’m not the first one to comment, how about brownie points for being the farthest away to comment! I’m not picky. I would love to be a winner of one of these scarves. >Aunt Anny
I love the light purple one!! They are all beautiful!
I love scarves!! And I definitely like the dark purple one! What a great idea, Trina.
Purple is my favorite color!! http://cvo-underthestars.blogspot.com
I like the brown!
I love the dark purple one!
How lovely! My pick would be the light purple.
wow! what faithful followers we have. cutting in line to be the first to comment.
Well, someone got in before me while I was commenting…lol. I’m second to comment! Whoopie! ๐
I’m the first to comment! Yahoo! (that doesn’t happen very often! LOL) Ok…I love the scarves! They have become my new thing this year! And if I won, I would pick the purple one…but which purple? I’m thinking the light purple one….
Do I get an extra point for being first to comment? ๐ I am partial to dark purple myself. Scarves like these are perfect this time of year. Thick enough to keep you warm, but easy enough to take off quickly if the room heats up! >If I had a blog you know there would be links to yours all over the place ๐
