If you haven’t tried mineral makeup yet, I’m excited to share one final review with you–because this one includes a giveaway!

In my journey to more natural makeup choices, I made the surprising discovery that there are plenty of awesome, natural alternatives that preform just as well as conventional products, without any of the toxins. Mineral makeup especially provides solid pigment and great results. I’ve enjoyed Beeyoutiful products and their informative website and ‘catazine’ (catalog+magazine) for years, and was excited when they began developing a makeup line. I knew it would be pure and high quality, and I was right.
Beeyoutiful sent me a sample package of their mineral makeup foundation and eye shadow and I found myself once again in the bathroom applying makeup on a weekday so I had plenty of time to sample it and take pictures. An odd thing for me to be doing in middle of the afternoon, but such is the life of a blogger.
Beeyoutiful Skin Mineral Foundation
First we tried a foundation color…hmm. Not quite the right shade, is it? Good thing I had 7 other samples!
Most of the colors in the Medium Set were too dark for my skin, but I did find my perfect match–Florie. (I love the names of all the colors–all pretty, female names like Anya, Jasmine, and Selina–so fun!) The foundation provided great coverage with a real natural looking finish just by dusting it on my face with the brush included in the kit, but I love the tip in the DVD to combine powder foundation with a dab of your moisturizer to make a heavier foundation when you need it.
Wait, can we just talk about the DVD for a minute? I have literally spent hours online researching mineral makeup and application techniques. You can drown in all the makeup reviews and tutorials on You Tube (ask me how I know!) but I learned more on the Beeyoutiful Skin DVD than all of the hours I was up way to late on You Tube. I really appreciate that Beeyoutiful Skin has not only produced a superior, natural product I can trust, but has taken the time to teach me how to use it effectively. You can view all their Mineral Makeup Tutorials on their site.
Beeyoutiful Skin Eye Shadow
When I was picking out my eye shadow samples, I loved the wide variety of colors–45 different shades! I tried a deep plumb that has a lovely, subtle shimmer to it. I love the color, and the fact that I can use it as eye liner as well, thanks to the foiling technique I learned in the eye video.
I was having so much fun playing around with all this natural, high quality pigments, I may have gotten carried away. I call this my European Model Look. Whaddya think?
{Here’s a more normal shot, in case you needed to catch your breath}
I wore my new look to women’s Bible study that night to rave reviews. I came home and inspected my look in the mirror, 7 hours after applying it, and it was still there.
Mineral makeup continues to astonish me. I’m completely converted and will never go back to conventional cosmetics.
Beeyoutiful Skin has done an excellent job developing not just a product line, but an entire site that helps you learn how to get a great look with your new, natural makeup. Check them out, and be sure to enter the giveaway–the winner of which will receive one Foundation Sample Set of their choice, and an Eye Shadow Sample Set, with 5 colors of their choice!

Beeyoutiful Skin sent me complimentary samples in exchange for this post, but the opinionated opinions are entirely my own.
Oh golly, one product??? Concealer.. Can’t go without
eye shadow, it’s often the only thing I put on!
Probably Mascara.
Only one?! Can I say eye makeup? 😉 probably mascara.
just one? lipstick
I already had a Beeyoutiful account, so I couldn’t use your referral code! I hope that’s okay!
Some sort of chapstick. I really like my lips to stay moist 🙂 I like that Beeyoutiful has one in Peppermint and Orange 🙂
If I could use only one makeup product, I’d probably use mascara or lipstick/gloss. 😉
If I were to only wear one it would be lipstick.
If I were to only use one it would be lipstick I guess.
I would choose mascara!
It would be a tie between either a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen or a mineral foundation.
If I could use only one product it would be concealer.
I would love to sample this makeup! I’m not much of a makeup wearer but I think it is because I don’t like the idea of putting all those chemicals on my face. So, if I could use a makeup that is not bad for you, maybe I would wear it more!
Oops… I forgot to say the one thing I could not give up… it would have to be eyeliner…
I really want to find some mineral makeup that does not make me itch when I sweat. I tried the cowgirl dirt you blogged on and while it was better than bare essentials it still made me itch. Thank goodness I only bought a sample. I hope this one works better. I could not sign up for the account as I kept getting the error message that my birthday was not a valid date. The last two times I tried to sign up I double checked to make sure I put it in right and still got the same error. I contacted the beeyoutiful site about this. I love you blog and I cannot wait to try this makeup.
I used to wear make-up on a regular basis, but these days I don’t put any on. I find that when I do wear make-up, it takes over a week for my face to recover. I believe foundation would be what I would wear the most.
If I could only wear one makeup product, it would probably be foundation.
under eye concealer….need some help with those dark mommy-smudges sometimes. After that would have to be eye liner.
And you look fantastic in all those pictures!
Eeeek. I can’t pick between eyeliner and bronzer. Both are a must-have part of my morning routine!
I would use lipstick! It’s my fave makeup product ever!
Powder for even skin
Concealer. 🙂 Yeah, I don’t really wear much. For a wedding a month ago though I did powder foundation, eye shadow, and tinted MadeOn lip balm.
I would definitely use a foundation of some sort. Lately I’ve just been using a conventional BB cream that is something of a toner.
I’d have to say mascara, or other eye products such as eye liner and eye shadow, just because my eyes are relatively small and these products help me look more alive. Thanks for the great review and giveaway!
I think it would be lipstick. I haven”t worn it in years but It would be fun to try a new look.
mascara….with lipstick a close 2nd
I need eyebrow powder/pencil and mascara. Without them I appear as if do not have eyebrows or lashes. Most conventional make-ups are heavy, oily and have ingredients that are just scary.
Just one product? I would have to say a tinted moisturizer, with sunblock in it.
Lipstick (it also doubles as blush if I’m in a bind!) Thanks for the review.

Thanks for this great review! I love my Cowgirl Dirt, but BeeYoutiful sounds like an awesome option. How did you feel like the prices compared to other mineral makeups you tried?
If I apply only one item of makeup during the day, it’s mascara.
Gretchen, use her referral code and sign up. Their prices are VERY comparable, but the great thing is that you can earn products for discounts and free just for sharing them on social media!
Fabulous review, Trina. Thanks for sharing (and for the giveaway opp)!
My Main Thing would be powder. I have oily skin so I always powder to kung-fu the shine. 🙂
kung fu the shine…lol love it, Rachelle! 😉
My fave makeup tool is mascara, followed by eyebrow pencil. I’d like to try more natural makeup, attempted to use a mineral based one years ago but couldn’t master it without looking very, um, layered 🙂 You make it look very doable!
I left a comment before I knew what the question was and I can’t get back to it, but it looks like people are trying to choose what one thing they would prefer. I don’t know if foundation is one of the choices, but I think I’d like to try that first. If that is not an option, then I’d say blush.
Mascara!
If I could only use one product, I think it would be blush.
Definitely eye shadow. My eyes disappear unless there is a little depth added to them. 🙂
I have to have mascara. 🙂
Trina, it has been years since I have used makeup. One of the reasons is because I got tired of the stuff loaded with chemicals and just didn’t want to use it. I haven’t really taken the time to look into alternatives, but it looks like you’ve done the work for me. I would love to win the giveaway to be able to try something new.
