Watercolor Pencil Distressing

Today’s Technique: watercolor pencil distressing. I figured this out myself! I wanted some depth on this page and my little name tags looked like they were floating. So I pulled out the watercolor pencils I got from my brother Joel for my birthday years ago. I dipped the pencil in a cup of water, then ran it back and forth perpendicular to the edge of my tag. I let it smudge once in a while, which gave it such a nice, random touch. I’m gonna do this again – after all, I have about two dozen pencil colors to choose from! Thanks, Joel. 🙂
