This is interesting. You know I never skip breakfast. And I often have a yogurt and banana smoothie in the mornings…so do you wanna change your vote? Boy or girl?

CHICAGO (AP) – Snips and snails and puppydog tails … and cereal and bananas? That could be what little boys are made of, according to surprising new research suggesting that what a woman eats before pregnancy influences the gender of her baby.

Having a hearty appetite, eating potassium-rich foods including bananas, and not skipping breakfast all seemed to raise the odds of having a boy.

Funny thing is, MY Boy doesn’t even like bananas!

right, so when my MIL tells me it's important for me to eat breakfast I'm just going to tell her that Allen and I are angling for a girl.

I'm so bewildered by this info. I never ate breakfast with Aidan and I did with Vivi, and it was often bananas. Go figure. And also, isn't it the father who carries the xy deciding gene supposedly? That's why Henry the 8th was killing off his wives for no good reason?

Well I want to vote for a girl still. I'm not changing, lol. Besides God might decide that it's time for Trina to make teeny tiny aprons for a cute little gal. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Since I read your blog everyday, I thought it was about time to comment. I don't know about the banana thing, but if cereal is high in potassium, too, it's no wonder we're having a boy! I ate more boxes of Cheerios than I can count when I was about 2-3 months pregnant. I hope you're feeling well! -Hannah H.
