So, of course, I had to bake a cake.
Just so I could have the fun of icing it.
It was exactly what the buffet wanted.
And my wheat grass sprouted and grew green and luscious just in time for company.
Oh, and eat it too. I like to ice my cake and eat it, too.
There is still some left, if you want a sample. But it is going fast.
Looks wonderful and I absolutely love that your cake plate too ! Is it actually vintage?
The grass turned out beautifully! The effect was definitely achieved.
That cake is making me extremely hungry!:)
Sarah, I posted a carrot cake recipe last week, but for this one I tried the recipe in “Nourishing Traditions”, more like a Hawian Carrot Cake with pineapple, raisins, and coconut.
the cake looks yummy – have you already posted the recipe? ๐
I really like how the grass looks in those beautiful stands (dishes?)
