And here is your formal introduction to my sister, Anja Lee. I call her Lee almost all the time. Somehow, in the past few years, the 6 year age gap between us has shrunk to nothing and we have become great friends – I’ve gone from babysitting her to her coming over and babysitting me! 🙂 Hmmm – that sounds weird. But it’s true – she comes and takes care of me and Jesse when we’re sick. Actually, she comes over whenever we can think of an excuse. 🙂
This one of my favorite pictures of her – we used this on her graduation invitation last year. She’s actually playing volleyball in it – so this just proves that, yes, she always looks that good.
And this is a more recent picture – that’s her on the left with her new hair cut. This is my mom and all her beautiful daughters. 🙂
Anja is an excellent cook, specializing in gourmet desserts. OH, yummmmm. This is her and her cake – lemon chiffon with whipped cream and coconut frosting – at her 19th birthday this past Valentine’s Day. Yes, birthdays are a big deal at our house. That’s us singing a “Lang Salse Laven” – a traditional dutch birthday song. (LtoR- Judah, Alyssa, Mom, Olivia, Anja, and Dad). She’s wearing the chef hat I made her.
