Oh, what a beautiful sight to wake up to in the morning! ๐
I got 7 hours of sleep last night (not in one stretch, mind you, but that’s still a good night’s sleep in my book!) so I feel somewhat coherent today and thought it was time for a blog post!
We are all doing well and adjusting beautifully to our new blessing. Jeremy and I agree it is a lovely time of year to have a baby. The days have been gray and wet and cold, but we are cozy warm inside and don’t care to go out! It was especially nice to have Claire born on a holiday weekend – Jeremy had extra time off work, and relatives were in town to help celebrate. Oh, and all the yummy leftovers!!! ๐
We want to thank every one who gave Claire such a warm welcome here on the blog! Each comment was enjoyed and added to the air of celebration. Jeremy printed them off and brought them to me in bed to read at first. Now that I am up and around a little, I am enjoying my ‘window to the world’ again, and the connection to each of our readers.
As you can see from the pictures, Jesse is still enjoying his little sister. We couldn’t ask for a better big brother for her. He gives her lots of gentle kisses, keeps track of her pacifier for her, and throws away all her tiny little diapers whenever he finds one. The stuffed animals have been sorely neglected since Claire’s arrival!
Our family and friends have been great, bringing yummy food, running errands, and presenting Claire and Jesse both with thoughtful gifts -it’s like Christmas a month early!
We are truly blessed. More pictures tomorrow!
Glad to see that you are all doing well!! Jesse is such a good big brother!!! I can’t wait to see more pictures!!
ooo…that crinkly little yawn ๐>I miss that size – all my “Niblings” are at least a year old now and special and facinating in their own way, but there’s nothing as sweet as a newborn. ENJOY!!!>And “Hello” to big brother Jesse ๐
She is breathtakingly beautiful.
The picture of Jesse and Claire is so cute!
Oh, that’s wonderful that Jesse’s being a little helper!
How sweet to see your two precious blessings enjoying each other. They will be wonderful companions as they grow older!
