The kids absolutely loved the sand. Not the Ocean. Not the big, splashing waves! Oh, no, keep me far away! But, oh, the SAND!
Claire only needed a brief demonstration of what a shovel could do, and she was ready to spend the rest of vacation filling her little pink bucket with sand.
It was so fun to introduce Jesse to all the creative things you can do in the sand.
I came back from wading in the waves just in time to catch Jesse half buried in the sand by his daddy.
We got back a week ago, but I felt a need to take some time off the computer – thus the long silence! I’m back in the groove now, and have lots of great posts planned for this week! Look for some long promised book reviews, tips on getting it all done in the kitchen with kids, and some menu ideas for taking nourishing food on vacation! Also, if you’re in the area, attending the NYS Homeschool Convention this weekend, be sure to say hello! Jeremy and I will be speaking at 2:30 on Saturday afternoon. For more info, visit leah.org
Oooh, that looks like so much fun! And hope the home school convention goes well!
