Ahh…I love it when my kitchen looks like this. It may take all day (even all week!) but it is a worthy accomplishment.
As homemakers we must not forget that we are fulfilling one of the most important callings in the world – making even the most mundane tasks vastly important.
You young gals are all just trying to make me feel good because I am too tired and achey and I can’t clean from morning till night like i used to. lol I like Traci’s 15
minutes in each room timer technique because it spurs me on but my kitchen can’t be cleaned up in that amount of time so i take longer on that. And by the way Trina, your kitchen sparkles in that picture! I so want mine like that again ๐
i really like this post. a lot! it’s so tempting to give the impression that one has it all together, but none of us do, of course… >>and when we *act* like we have immaculate houses and perfectly turned out children, we put other women under pressure to do the same. it’s a kindness to others to let them see us as we really are- messy bedrooms and all! lolโฅ
Rachel, at least you remembered dinner. I’m so attached to the juice fast idea that I forgot to even remember that I have to COOK for the kids. Jeesh. Apparently they need to be fed more than once a day. I didn’t remember in time to thaw anything though so it’s pasta for them. >>Trina, isn’t there just something beautiful about a clean and clear countertop?
Just so you know…this is why I always enjoy reading your blog…you’re so REAL ๐>Don’t forget Proverbs 14:4 – It would be easy to keep it all together if you had no LIFE ๐
Lol. Yeah. I know the feeling. I get the bathroom cleaned and the rest of the house if a wreck. Or the kitchen and you really don’t want to see the bathroom….>>My goals for today are wash dishes, vacume the living room and make supper….lol. All of which desperately need to be done!
