I think I will only feel sane if I site down and write for a little bit. Wait – I haven’t had devotions yet! That must be the problem. I slept in this morning till 7:22, and barely had time to get my man out the door with breakfast by 8, much less time to sit on the couch…We worked next door till 8:30 last night, then worked on finances until 9:30. I am blessed that Jeremy has such a store of patience on that front. He just sat there crunching numbers, making everything come out straight by the end of the month, despite lost receipts (mine). (I finally found them filed where they belong – my doing in a moment of sanity!) I kept him company in the living room while doing my exercises to strengthen my legs for our ski trip next month…and mentally planning my trip to Joann’s later this week – home decorating fabric is 50% off! (Can you say ‘curtains‘?)
In devotions this week I am meditating on Ephesians 1:19-20. Though I usually read in KJV, I hopped over to NIV and comprehended a bit more of this passage…
“…and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised Him from the dead…”
The same power that raised Christ Jesus is available to work righteousness in our lives today!
Amazing.
Carpet goes in today in Jesse’s room. Painting is down to final touch ups. Anja and Olivia come home today – whoo-hoo! Can’t wait to see them…
