Last Little Details

I am spending Christmas Eve wrapping up last little details and cooking and cleaning so that I actually get the holiday off tomorrow. The presents are all wrapped!!!

Thanks to the suggestions last week, I got out my Moby Wrap and Claire has enjoyed riding around in it while I do housework. I enjoy being able to kiss her sweet little head any time I want! She has proven to be even spittier than Jesse was as an infant, so it’s nice to have a way to keep her in a good, upright position. After the holidays I will try cutting out more dairy and probably wheat, too. Meanwhile, she’s getting bibs for Christmas!… and I continue to do laundry almost every day. Ahh, but the bright side is that she gets to wear all her cute little outfits many, many times a week. ๐Ÿ™‚

Jesse’s favorite thing about Christmas this year is all the LIGHTS! He says ‘liy!’ and has enjoyed the several car rides we’ve taken at night to let him see all the houses and yards decorated. We even drove out to Syracuse last week to go through the “Lights on the Lake” display. If you have young children, this is a great Christmas activity – I have a feeling we will be making that a tradition! We will have to remember to go on a Monday or Tuesday and bring our Wegman’s shopper card, which will get us $2 off the $8 fee

.

Back home, mommy strung him his very own Christmas lights – blue to match his room.

I have always loved the “liy”‘s as well ๐Ÿ™‚ When I was little, there was an area in the part of town that was mostly turn of the century/1920’s homes that would get together every year and have an organized light display. Peacock Lane it was called and it was beautiful! We would take 45min to an hour and slowly drive through (Along with EVERYONE else in town!)Along the way there were little lemonade type stands selling Cocoa and Spiced Cider for the people walking through the display. Happy Times – Good Memories. May you make more memories this season!!!
