…to see Anja than I was this morning! A long weekend and a long car ride home yesterday and I knew I would be spending the day on the couch. Yet all our stuff needed unpacking, and the house wasn’t exactly clean when we arrived home!
Thankfully my merry maid had an opening and arrived shortly after we finished our breakfast. ๐ Three hours later she had cleaned my kitchen from top to bottom, dusted my fan, and washed a load of laundry. I was so grateful, I was overwhelmed, and was glad I had finished her Emmaline Apron as a way to say “thank you”.
Her coming over and helping me catch up after a full weekend was just another way my wonderful family supported me this week as I acted as coordinator at a friend’s wedding. Both of my families were in attendance and all 12 of them, plus Jeremy, were a constant support to me. They took care of Jesse, ran errands, and made sure I didn’t forget to eat all weekend!
I look forward to sharing photos of the weekend as they trickle in (we didn’t get very many pictures on our camera), but I wanted to start by saying a big thank you to my families. Over the weekend I discovered how much I really loved the job of wedding coordinator, and arranging the flowers, but I also realized that I could never have done it on my own. So, thanks to my mom and dad (even though he wasn’t able to attend), Jeremy’s parents, and all of Jesse’s aunts and uncles: Anja, Olivia, Anneke, Joanna, Elise, Micah, Isaiah, Nathanael, and Judah.
And here’s a sneak preview of some of my work over the weekend – here I was finishing the maid-of-honor’s bouquet Friday morning. More photos coming soon!
what lovely, lovely aprons!!
Can I borrow one of your sisters? I don't have one. ๐
I love the apron! I've been thinking about getting the pattern for myself…
How sweet of Anja to come to your rescue!
Can't wait to see more pictures! ๐
Yay for Anja! Looks like you did a really thorough cleaning too…lucky Trina! ๐
Hey, I just noticed…you flipped the apron around at some point during the proceedings…so we can see both sides! :p It's very pretty, as are the flowers, Trina. ๐
Ahh Yes, cleaning the fans… (Lee, you'll be proud to know that I just did mine the other night!)Can't wait to see the pictures from the wedding & Flowers! How'd Liv's hair turn out? Hope you feel better Treen! <3laney
Eeee! Pictures! Splendid! Lovely! I'm looking forward to them. Only I'm away this week…so I'll have something to look forward to. (I'm going up North to my bonnie Highlands to climb mountains in Glencoe with a very very dear friend.)
I really do like the apron you'd made. Perhaps I should make myself one…hmmm. Glad the weddings went well. Aren't supportive families such a blessing?
I'll send you the link to the photographers photos as soon as I get it! Thanks for everything you did! Everything went so smoothly!
Thank you for everything you did, Trina–from the flowers to the bustle, to the encouraging words before you left! You're wonderful!
if anyone would like a copy of the pattern I ordered it. E-mail me @ debbieinthehood@roadrunner.com and I will send it to you:)

whoo-hoo – thanks, Amanda! :)rambly comments are our favorite.
1) Love Anja's apron – splendiferous! It has this antique slash Williams-Sonoma feel.
2) Great links in your last post! Christa Taylor was the only one I had heard of previously. I think the stay-at-home mom's web page was actually my favorite. Most of her favorite stores match my own so that helps. ๐ BR outlet especially – speaking of which, I got a shirt there for 2.99 today. More than psyched!
3) I am anticipating seeing more than a glimpse of your bouquets!! A lady in my church arranged all my wedding flowers and your style reflects hers, I think.
4) The end.
Ya'll are always talking about how you loves comments so I hope this one is lengthy enough for you. :p Sorry to ramble – it's what I do best. ๐
Ooh, I really like the pattern on Anja's apron! And the flowers look amazing, can't wait to see the rest.
