“First Dance”

I’ll say right away that I LOVE this page. Not only for the memories it evokes, but for all the new techniques I learned and the fun I had creating it.
This page was totally inspired by my favorite scrapper on this website. I copied one of her recent pages shamelessly. 🙂 Along the way I tried a new technique she demonstrated – adding a metallic hint to your page using ink and embossing powder. I embossed the corners of my accent paper (the dark gray) and then I experimented and did it around the large photo on the right side. It turned out so cool! I will definitely do that again.
The other thing I did was more doodling (I’m gonna get in a doodling rut if I’m not careful!) Then I accented everything with vellum heart stickers and silver flowers from ‘Jolee’s by You’. And my wonderful husband patiently listened to what I needed in the way of text, and took the time to format it just so with the computer program I don’t know how to run, so that ‘Our Song’ could look like it belonged on the page. I love the finished product.
