It’s all over now, but I couldn’t resist posting a few more pictures of our Christmas before taking the tree down and jumping into the New Year!
I’m one of those that loves to have a themed tree. This year, thanks to a delightful thrift store find (beaded pears!) I actually carried my theme of greens and golds fairly well! This made me happy. (do you do a themed tree?)
We carried the theme into the diningroom, adding some lovely holly I brought back from Alabama.
Seth loved helping with the Christmas baking.
Well, they all did! Do not miss Seth’s face…
We even managed a spontaneous Christmas tea with friends!
And Daddy gave camel rides.
Well, I guess that wraps up the old year, I’m ready for 2013–are you? I’ve got all kinds of yummy stuff lined up for the blog in the new year, starting, actually, on Monday. See you then!
no themed tree here…I’m attached to my ornaments!! and…that would stress me out and completely control my life every year! thanks for sharing…beautiful…all my stuff is put away now and I decorated my mantel for winter!
see? everyone’s different. I love that you know what you like.
Lovely pictures! I sort of have a theme.. it’s all shiney and sparkly. ๐ It’s the same every year because well, I love it! ๐
Happy New Year to you all! Looking forward to being able to see you all in the new year sometime!! ๐
Seeing you again is literally on my new year’s resolution list, Crystal! ๐
Your tree is lovely ๐ I can’t do theme trees though. I think it’s genetics. I try to stick loosely to traditional colors and classic ornaments (family keepsakes and vintage finds), but the general trend is definitely to pile everything on the biggest tree I can fit in my living room. I love it!
We’re actually still in the middle of Christmas out here. My father-in-law’s side of the family came over today to have Christmas. We hosted my mother-in-law’s side on Christmas day. We’ve got a New Year’s Eve party. The tree won’t come down until Epiphany, and after that I think we’ll be taking a long nap!
Lovely! The holly is especially pretty. I like the children’s faces best, though!
you are so right, Teresa…children’s faces are the best part of Christmas…
Aw, looks like it was a wonderful Christmas!!! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the New Year!
