The weather was so nice this week…and our yard was calling us. The previous owner kept the yard very neat and had a made a nice fire pit that was just waiting for hot dogs and marshmallows!
So, we invited both our families – and Alyssa – for a BBQ. It also happened to be my birthday, so it that made it special.
Jeremy’s parents and my mom.

Aunt Joanna and a thirsty Boy.
As the evening got chillier, Aunt Olivia offered her sweatshirt to the Boy to keep off the chill. We all laughed at his fashion statement – he looked like a cross between a little monk with his sandles and bowl cut, and a huge, Hershey Kiss. 🙂
Anneke captured some nice photos as the sun set and then fire was our only source of light.
Happy Birthday Trina,
As one who has journeyed through the 20's, absolutely loving the
30's, and now finding the 40's fabulous too! I love each stage my kids go and grow through, I love continuing to learn new things and getting to keep pursuing dreams. The alternative is not growing old.. and altho I am looking so forward to heaven, I sure would at least like to raise my children first, see a few grandchildren too.
Happy Happy Birthday!!
My favorite picture is the last one.. Anja looks positively radiant. And doesn't this weather just make you want to sit around a fire and sing?
Trina, I want you to know that I'm bummed about all the germs floating around. I had a surprise all ready to ship off with the neighbors but alas, the crud has prevented them all from coming to church. I suppose it will have to wait until another time.
Happy Birthday, Trina!
Tell Anneke those are some good photos! I like the reddish glow, reminds my of my shell…
Olivia! I see you found a good use for the too-small sweatshirt. That's hilarious.
Yeah for bonfires! I like the sweatshirt, Anna has a t-shirt like that.
