Yesterday Jesse found a doll I had stored in the closet for his some-day little sister. She is was my first doll, named after our next door neighbor’s mom, “Sheri”.

As I watched him lug her around the room, I felt sure that a little girl would NEVER treat a doll this way.
As I watched him lug her around the room, I felt sure that a little girl would NEVER treat a doll this way.
He repeatedly picked her up and dropped her every few feet. Then the shop radio caught his attention and Sheri was forgotten.
Then she was forgotten again as he studied the radio.
Poor thing. I think Sheri looks forward to a little girl in the house as much as I do!
Tomorrow we are headed out to Toggenburg Mountain to participate in the skiing program for the physically challenge. After our volunteer time, we plan to put the beloved son on skis for the first time! We will be gone over the weekend, staying with friends since it is 1 1/2 hours away. So, farewell, and have a lovely weekend!
Awww, she's a cutie. I've got a first doll kind of like yours named Cindy. I don't know how brave I'll be with letting little ones play with her though =D I've seen the way little ones play with toys.
Btw, my mom had in interesting idea. Whenever she had a baby she also bought dolls for all of us. That way while she was tending our new sibling us rugrats had our own "babies" to take care of. I don't know if that made much difference with the sibling jealousy thing, but I certainly don't remember anyone resenting the new baby. That could have absolutely nothing to do with the dolls my mom gave us, but I thought I might mention it.
Starting 'em early with skiing!! I believe I was 4 when I was left behind in ski school….!! Good Luck Little Boy!
Yes, both sounds good ;P
Or both! 😀
No, no, no, Aunty Lee-Somebody needs a little sister who can play with the doll!…….HINT, HINT!
Somebody needs to buy that boy a tool box!
